"I knew I was finished with the sculpture when I felt just like Geppetto in the scene. I could look at the completed sculpture and smile, the same way Geppetto smiles at Pinocchio."

~ Bruce Lau

This third sculpture in the Signature Series features the rarely portrayed Pinocchio as a marionette, before he has been brought to life by the Blue Fairy.

The moment was selected by Roy E. Disney.  Roy's personal connection with Pinocchio is rooted in an unforgettable performance of the story by Uncle Walt when young Roy was sick in bed.

As a unique "finishing touch," the workbench's outside wall is adorned with the Stromboli poster seen in a later scene in the film.

Each sculpture comes with two (2) signature cards. One will be personally signed by Roy E. Disney and the other signed by sculptor, Bruce Lau.

Numbered Limited Edition of 1,000 pieces.

About The Sculpture

Pewter Jiminy Cricket and lady figure. Clock parts, wood shavings, tool, vise and handles on pots are also made of pewter.  Pinocchio's strings are made of metal. Water inside Cleo's fishbowl is a resin pour.

Interesting Fact: As "Soup's On!" was a lost moment, "Finishing Touch" introduces us to Hortense (pictured at right).  Hortense, intended as Geppetto's favorite timepiece was designed for the film, but never used. The original plan to have Figaro chase Hortense throughout the scene did not work, so the clock was dropped.  Now, thanks to Bruce and this Signature Series sculpture, Hortense can be finally admired by all.
